There's a patch for this, but it doesn't work for the Xpress 200 -- it has to do with a texture combination -- but their version seems to have a similar problem -- and it isn't very stable -- so I'd be careful about applying it, but I would
Wurstgeist, I've just tested this with a R290 card in the same machine. It had the same problem and I noticed something else, that it's extremely slow when using the 'run' button. I'd say it's a bug in the driver, not the Blender developers. I also tried with a GTX295 and it was also slow. I'll report this to AMD and see what I can do. Thanks for reporting this! --Jakob (Talk) 01:29, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
[edit] I've just got a mail from AMD and it's confirmed that the driver is the problem. I'm not sure if this can be fixed in the next driver update or not, but if it can't I'm going to file a bug report with the Blender developers (I'll do it right now). If anyone else has the problem, please file a bug report with the Blender developers and I'll update this page when I get the bug number. Thanks again for reporting this! I'm using the latest 2.49 Blender, and on the PC which is experiencing the problem, I get the same problem with a model i am working on, but when i load it on my Mac it loads fine. Also when i load the model onto the PC it loads the model fine and the same speed as my Mac. My question is, what are the chances of a new version of Blender coming out for Macs as well? Thanks :)
If you're going to be using the PC for some serious work at home, I recommend that you grab a second Mac. They're relatively cheap (a few hundred dollars), you can run OS X in a virtual machine or via WINE, and they're more powerful than a $1000 PC. It's worth the money if you're going to be using the PC for work related projects. Wurstgeist (talk) 07:07, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
The Apple USB Trackpad is a multi-touchpad that works with all major OSes. This driver includes a generic component that maps all buttons to those of the Apple USB trackpad, as well as a generic driver for the multi-touch features.
If another hacker does this, then they will be able to put any game on the ps3 in a matter of minutes! and that means that Sony will be out of the console market for good. We have seen what happens when sony doesn't support games anymore. Nintendo is turning a profit, now it is time for Sony to do the same, or else they are dead.
I don't see the appeal of owning a Sony PS3, and I don't see the value of the PS3 as an entertainment device. Sony has become one of the most untrustworthy companies in the gaming industry in my eyes. 827ec27edc
